BADC Partners with Barrington Area Library to Introduce Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (BAVC)

BAVC’s goal is to bring all 100+ Barrington area nonprofits, churches and service organizations in one searchable database so that volunteers can easily find opportunities.

The Barrington Area Development Council (BADC) is a not-for-profit civic organization with a long history of sponsoring initiatives and organizations that have benefited the Barrington Area community, including CPR Training, the Bikeways Commission, the District 220 Caucus, Barrington BloodLine, the Holiday Wish List, the Leadership Academy, and the Citizen of the Year Award. In addition, BADC was the founding organization of the Barrington Area Council of Governments (BACOG) in the 1970s, and a catalyst participating in the formation of renowned groups such as the Barrington Area Council on Aging (BACOA) and Citizens for Conservation (CFC). More recently, we have helped raise the impact of nonprofits like Hope’s In, NeuroBalance Center, and the Flint Creek/Spring Creek Watersheds Partnership. With the generous grant support of the Barrington Area Community Foundation (BACF), our Barrington Leadership Network (BLN) continues to gather momentum. Everyone wins when community and nonprofit leaders get better! In addition, BADC is an organizing co-sponsor of the Barrington Area Volunteer Connection (www.BAVC.org), and spearheaded the creation of the new Barrington Area Digital Photo Gallery (www.badpg.com). BADC is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
