NeuroBalance Center
The Barrington Area Development Council first connected with the NeuroBalance Center in 2012 through its Resource Academy, where founder Joy Wagner engaged with BADC Board Members to learn, ask questions, and build relationships.
As NeuroBalance grew, Joy presented her vision to the BADC Board in 2015, identifying key needs around board development and securing a permanent facility. Several BADC Board Members stepped in to support strategic planning, including one who served as interim — and later permanent — Board Chair through 2023.
In 2016, as NeuroBalance outgrew its existing space, BADC leaders assisted with planning and the capital campaign for a free-standing facility. Ground was broken in January 2017, and the new NeuroBalance Center opened in Barrington later that year.
Today, NeuroBalance Center provides integrated, team-based care for individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, and other conditions that affect balance and mobility. By offering multiple services in one location — and transportation support — the center helps reduce barriers to care and improve its members' quality of life.
